Evidence before excitement
If we cannot show you the data behind a recommendation, we do not make the recommendation.
About
Most marketplace reporting is built to look reassuring. Revenue up, spend up, everyone satisfied — while margin quietly erodes underneath. We exist to report the other number.
Revenue up. Margin down. This is the account we usually inherit.
If we cannot show you the data behind a recommendation, we do not make the recommendation.
Revenue and impressions are inputs. Contribution margin is the outcome we are accountable to.
Every report names the metric, the constraint, the action and its expected effect.
You should be able to understand and challenge what we did. Opaque work is unaccountable work.
Who runs this
Amazon PPC specialist and Seller Central account manager. Founder of eProofficials.
I have run marketplace accounts since 2018 — across US, UK and EU, from single-product launches to a 2,664-SKU catalogue, and from accounts spending a few hundred a month to ones turning over $400,000 in twenty days.
The reason this agency argues with dashboards is that I spent years reading them. Most marketplace reporting answers the question “did revenue go up”. Almost none of it answers “did we keep any of it”, which is the only question a seller is actually asking. Every process on this site exists because a version of it was missing on an account I inherited.
I work with a small team: marketplace specialists, a dedicated designer for listing imagery and A+ content, and development for the tooling we run accounts on. It stays small on purpose. Every account has someone senior on it.
What we will not do
Some of these cost us business. We would rather lose the pitch than the argument later.
Nobody can. Marketplace outcomes depend on competitors, seasonality and platform changes outside anyone's control. We commit to method and reporting, not to a number.
It is trivial to grow revenue by buying unprofitable traffic. We will not report a win that costs you margin.
We are independent. We are not an Amazon partner, agency of record, or endorsed vendor, and we will never suggest otherwise to win work.
Independence
eProofficials is an independent agency. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of Amazon or any other marketplace. All marketplace names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
That independence is the point: our advice is not shaped by a platform relationship we need to protect.
